Prologue - Before The Beginning

        There was nothing in the beginning.

        Well, if you didn't count the entity Chaos himself. The being woke up for the first time, taking in his surroundings, an endless stretch of black and nothing in between. Chaos didn't have a physical body, but he could feel his body somehow. His fingers, or what was to be considered fingers, stretched out in front of him. Tendrils of golden vines sprouted from his fingers, tracing the first light.

         From the light sprung a young woman, her hair ebony, eyes that would later be compared to green gemstones. Her body was curved, her skin fair, but tinted a slight green. With the woman came a round lump of soft brown stuff, which would be named Earth someday. Chaos named her Gaea.

        Tartarus, was what Chaos had named the deep chasm next to the woman's Earth, a drop that led into the deepest parts of the world, in it so dark that one day it became where only the most feared monsters dwelt.

        Erebus and Nyx, darkness and night manifested out of what was left of the empty void Chaos had dwelt in. Both of them had darkness spreading from around them wherever they went.

        And at last there was Eros, the most primitive emotion of desire, a young man so attractive that whoever laid eyes on him would consider him beauty itself.

        The world had been born.
